I believe your wedding invitations are the most personal mail you will send out in your life. It’s the first impression of your wedding to your guests. More than that, it sets the tone for the rest of your wedding vision, for your once-in-a-lifetime day. After all the laughs, tears, hugs and dances have come and gone, it’s one of the few items you can still physically hold in your hand.
I know from experience that the wedding planning process is long and sometimes daunting. You have to make a million decisions and every one of them seems to either enrich or destroy your perfect day, depending on how you choose. For your invitations, there is all these etiquette rules, designing and printing dilemma’s that no one prepared you for in wedding planning school. And once mailed, pray to God that you put enough postage on them and they will actually arrive.
Let me take this one thing off your plate. As your invitation designer and calligrapher, I will guide you and create paper goods that fit not only your wedding vision, but tell your love story. From save the dates, to invitation suites and envelopes, to your day-of printed materials and wedding signage, I would love to help you every step of the way. All to create personal (paper) goods that create excitement and a genuine connection with the loved ones who will receive it.
I don’t just look at the invitations you have pinned on your Pinterest board – I make sure my design fits in with your wedding vision as a whole. Do you value family, or do you want an adults-only affair? Is the party the most important part of the day? There are so many ways to let this shine through in your paper goods.
I help you navigate all the etiquette conundrums, help you think outside the box, and tell you exactly when the best time is to send out those invitations. I create gorgeous invitations, while giving them the personal touch that will have your phone ringing nonstop with excited guests.
One of my favorite elements of an invitation suite is the envelope: it is truly the first thing your guests see, shows them how important they are to you, and how excited you are to have them celebrate with you! I offer several options on the addressing style of your envelopes (starting at $4 per envelope).
If you are considering arranged seating, place cards or escort cards are essential in your decoration and create a smooth transition to the dinner table (find out here if you should have arranged seating!). I offer place/escort cards from $1.95/card, learn more about the difference between escort cards and place cards here.
I also offer custom calligraphy writing, for example to create a special letter for your loved one. Please contact me for a custom quote for your upcoming project.
Welcome signs can add a beautiful addition to your wedding decor. I offer signs of various sizes on acrylic (my favorite!), starting at $95.
Seating charts, just like escort cards, can create a smooth transition from cocktail hour to the dinner table. I offer seating charts on acrylic from $125 for 50 guests. Copper stands are also available for rent alongside your acrylic signage purchase. The copper stands are available for various sign sizes – inquire for more information.
Your invitations are the first glimpse your guest get of your wedding day, and you want them to be as excited about it as you are!
I offer a full service design experience to create gorgeous invitations that are not just functional, but compliment your wedding vision and the story of your love. Where possible, I love incorporating personal touches: whether it be a hobby, a touch of your childhood, or an element of your wedding decor. Other options to add personal touches are monograms, a venue illustration, and wax seals. A cohesive design for all your paper goods, and a signature style on which you can build your other decor.
Wedding invitation design starts at $1250, with the average couple spending roughly $1650 on their invitations.
