I'm a big believer in handing you the techniques first, and the project later

I have seen a lot of these workshops pop up where you are working on a finished project alone. And they are fine, and good fun!

However, I really try to focus on teaching the skills behind it all, so you don’t end up with an artwork, without the skills to make something of your own. I truly believe in being (and staying) creative, long after the workshop has ended. Therefore, I teach my students the same, and a lot of them actually end up with a new hobby through this workshop!

At the end of the workshop I left with a new hobby / skill to practice (and the tools to do it), and a serious obsession with the metallic gold ink we got to use. [...] Every morning while I have my coffee I practice my calligraphy abc's. Private Calligraphy Party, Anyone?

Love the idea of learning calligraphy, but already have your favorite group of people together? I organize private Modern Calligraphy workshops for example for bachelorette parties, or just a fun girl’s night out! I will come to your home, or can accomodate a private rented space for you and your friends to spend an evening or afternoon learning the basics of calligraphy, while enjoying some bites and bubbles (on a bring your own basis).
