Just before Thanksgiving sets in, I thought I’d share Ashley and Matt’s wedding day at the Hotel Emma with y’all. Because if this couple doesn’t fill your heart with warmth and giggles, I don’t know what will! Not only was their day filled with love, but also amazing design. I loved providing these two love birds with some gorgeous navy acrylic signs! Thanks to Allison Jeffers Photography for capturing this special day!
I was first approached by Ashley’s mom, Debra. She had reached out because she had seen my invitations and signs, and thought these would be the perfect addition to her daughter Ashley’s wedding day at the Hotel Emma.
I provided a seating chart, welcome sign, and small hashtag sign, all with gold lettering and a navy background. The background was painted with brush strokes, which gave it some artistic flair and showed off the acrylic material. I also created custom white hangers for Ashley and her bridesmaids. Ashley used these as bridesmaids gifts. She also used them in her dress detail shots along with the bridesmaids’ dresses in the bridal suite of the Hotel Emma.
Ashley and Matt decided on a first look, which I absolutely love! As a backdrop, the two used a floral arch that the father of the bride made HIMSELF! How amazing is that?? The floral work by The Vintage Bouquet Bar finished it off, additionally, the furniture Rustic Romance Rentals provided, completed the look for their wedding party photos.
Ashley and Matt had a beautiful, intimate wedding ceremony at the Christ Episcopal Church. From there went back to the hotel for the reception, where they were greeted by the welcome sign, inviting them along for the reception.
The sign in table also featured the hashtag sign I created for them. Place a hashtag sign in a spot where you know people will hang out for a bit. This will ensure they see the hashtag, and therefore will encourage them to start using it! During cocktail hour is the perfect time for this: while people are mingling, and taking a selfie with the hashtag is just a natural thing to do!
Right before the dinner room at the hotel, Ashley and Matt placed the seating chart. For any wedding over 125 guests, I highly recommend creating a seating arrangement, as it will make it so much easier for your guests to find a seat. It also makes dinner so much more enjoyable, as you are guaranteed to sit with people that you know! For Ashley and Matt’s wedding, there were just over 100 guests – not strictly necessary to have a seating chart, but it’s never a bad idea!
After dinner, there was dancing! Ashley is an NBA Dancer for the Oklahoma City Thunder, so naturally there was a A LOT of dancing during the evening! I just love seeing the sheer JOY on their faces!
The acrylic signs added that slight modern touch to the industrial background, and they fit in so well with the rest of the decor! I can be a bit biased, but I think acrylic signs and the Hotel Emma are a match made in heaven :).
